CORNELIUS, Ore. (AP) - The Washington County sheriff’s office says a sex offender fondled himself at the Cornelius Library while sitting at a table across from unsuspecting children.

Librarians reported suspicious behavior Monday morning and showed deputies video. The man had gone but was arrested when he returned Monday afternoon.

Deputies booked 46-year-old David Duane Johnson into jail on charges of public indecency and failing to register as a sex offender.
