UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (AP) - A bank robbery suspect is in jail in suburban St. Louis after a trail of bills led police to him.

The robbery occurred Monday at the Commerce Bank in University City. KMOV-TV (https://bit.ly/1zE59fF ) reports that 40-year-old Cameron Boddie is accused of running from the bank, through streets and yards, while discarding cash along the way.

Police caught up to Boddie in nearby Clayton. He was arrested without incident.

Police say Boddie told them he dropped the money because he had too much to carry. He is charged with first-degree robbery and does not yet have an attorney.
