BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A woman accused in an armed movie theater robbery in Bennington, Vermont, last year has pleaded not guilty.

The Bennington Banner reports (https://bit.ly/Jea059) Star Crandall of South Burlington was arraigned Thursday in the robbery at the Bennington Cinemas. The 23-year-old pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and robbery with a deadly weapon, grand larceny, kidnapping, assault, and burglary.

Police said she and 23-year-old Chris Lyttle of New York entered the theater in June carrying handguns and wearing masks. They ordered an employee into a back office and threatened to shoot her if she didn’t cooperate.

Lyttle was taken into custody in New York January. He hasn’t been arraigned yet; it wasn’t known if he’s been brought to Vermont or has an attorney.

The two are accused of taking over $1,800.
