MANCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - The owners of the Equinox Resort have submitted a conceptual plan to the state for a potential expansion of seven new buildings, nearly 300 new rooms and 90 residential units.

Elizabeth Boepple, the resort’s legal counsel, says the plan filed May 1 could be used to guide future development at the resort and says there is no construction anticipated in the immediate future.

Bread Loaf Construction estimates the seven projects would cost a total of more than $28 million.

The plan will be the focus of an Act 250 hearing on May 27 in Manchester.

The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1cuhija ) that HEI Equinox LLC, which bought the hotel in 2007, will consider after the hearing if it wants to go ahead with some or all of the construction and when.
