CHRISTIANA, Del. (AP) - Officials say a fire has heavily damaged a home in Christiana.

A New Castle County fire board official says the blaze broke out around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday in the three-story home on North Old Baltimore Pike. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the first two floors. It took firefighters from nine local companies about two hours to control the blaze.

No injuries were reported. The State Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate the cause.
