PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Jurors in Philadelphia are trying to reach a verdict in a police corruption case after reporting an “impasse” on at least part of the case.

The federal jury Tuesday says it was stuck on one or more charges in the 26-count indictment.

Six former undercover officers are accused of stealing more than $400,000 from drug suspects from 2006 to 2012.

Prosecutors say they also planted evidence and conspired to make false arrests and win unjust convictions.

Jurors have been deliberating for about 20 hours over three days.

U.S. District Judge Eduardo Robreno has urged them to keep working given the weeks of testimony they heard.

Defense lawyers have attacked the credibility of the drug suspects-turned-government witnesses.

The jury returns Wednesday for a fourth day of deliberations.
