LAWRENCE, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have identified the suspect in a fatal shooting at a Lawrence nightclub earlier this month.

Police on Monday issued an arrest warrant for William Perez, of Methuen, in connection with the May 1 shooting death of 21-year-old Joselo “Jose” Campusano at Bali’s restaurant and nightclub.

Prosecutors say the 39-year-old Perez is considered “armed and dangerous” and those encountering him were advised to use “extreme caution.”

Police allege Perez shot and killed Campusano in the men’s room at Bali’s just before 1 a.m.

Officers responding to reports of a fight at the club found the victim dead of a gunshot wound.

Acting Chief James Fitzpatrick did not disclose a motive but tells The Eagle-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1zXvGeG) the shooting was “not random.”
