NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing on Staten Island that killed a teenager and left two others injured.
Police said Tuesday Anthony Ward was arrested on charges of murder, attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.
The stabbings happened just before 11 p.m. Monday during a fight between two groups.
Police say 18-yearold Damian Yordan died after being stabbed in the neck. A 17-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times and was hospitalized in critical condition.
A 22-year-old man is recovering from stab wounds to the face and chest.
Police did not say what sparked the violence.
