CLARKSDALE, Miss. (AP) - A security guard at a Clarksdale power plant died Tuesday after being shot, according to authorities.

Assistant Police Chief Robbie Linley identified the victim as 59-year-old Finnis “Butch” Catledge.

Linley tells The Clarion-Ledger (https://on.thec-l.com/1IwweLk ) the shooting occurred around 12:49 a.m. Catledge died at a local hospital. An autopsy will be conducted.

Linley says Catledge was shot multiple times.

Catledge was employed by Wood Security.

Linley says a motive has not been established in the shooting. He says police are looking a footage from video surveillance cameras to determine what happened.
