JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The names of two Mississippi law officers killed in the line of duty have been added the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington.

George County Deputy Sheriff John Robert Street was killed on Dec. 16, 2014. The 24-year-old Street was killed in a single-vehicle crash while responding to another crash. Street’s patrol vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Master Sgt. John Thomas Collum with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks died May 9, 2014. The 56-year-old Collum was struck and killed by a vehicle while investigating a report of a prowler. The driver was charged with negligent homicide.
