WEST JORDAN, Utah (AP) - Two men have been accused in Utah of singling out a sex offender and stabbing him repeatedly.
The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1REdufu ) that 26-year-old Dustin Ray Lewis and 25-year-old Brailosky Aguado were charged Tuesday in 3rd District Court with felony aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
Lewis was also charged with felony illegal use or possession of a firearm.
The stabbing victim, who is listed as a non-compliant sex offender in Utah, took himself to a nearby hospital after being stabbed Feb. 5 in his home in West Jordan. He was hospitalized for his injuries.
Neither Lewis nor Aquado was in custody Tuesday. An arrest warrant was issued for Aguado.
Charging documents say a third assailant joined in on the alleged stabbing. No charges have been filed against him.
