BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Birmingham police say they’re investigating a shooting that happened across the street from the funeral for a shooting victim in the city’s Smithfield neighborhood.
Lt. Sean Edwards tells WBMA-TV (https://bit.ly/1QKe7mq ) a man was shot in his hand Wednesday afternoon after an argument over a burglary. The man was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting happened near the funeral of a man who was killed in a recent triple shooting. Edwards says there’s no connection between Wednesday’s shooting and the funeral.
It’s unclear if any arrests have been made.
