BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Plans to sell the Capitol Park Welcome Center and adjacent parking garage may have become complicated.

The New Orleans Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1QJnUJz) Governor Bobby Jindal’s administration had promised 300 parking spaces in the garage to IBM in a long-term lease agreement.

Last week the administration announced plans to sell the center and parking garage.

Approval of the property sale is on the House Natural Resources Committee’s agenda for Wednesday.

Appraised values are $7.34 million for the welcome center and $4.05 million for the parking garage. The garage is located across the street from IBM’s new Service Center.

State Facility Planning and Control Director Mark Moses says the administration is looking into several options for accommodating the agreement with IBM.
