MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - State officials say transportation services company Total Quality Logistics is expanding operations in Shelby County by opening a sales office.

Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd says the new office located in an existing building in downtown Memphis represents an investment of $1 million and is expected to create at least 100 jobs. The office is expected to open in August.

Total Quality Logistics connects shippers who have products that need to be moved with truckload carriers who have the capacity to move them. The company says it moves more than 1 million truckloads of freight per year.

The Memphis sales office is the freight brokerage firm’s third announced expansion in Tennessee in just over a year.
