MANCHESTER, Iowa (AP) - An eastern Iowa man previously convicted of sexual assault has pleaded not guilty to charges in a separate case involving a 14-year-old girl.

The Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1cU9zLS ) 29-year-old Michael Cole, of Manchester, entered his plea Tuesday to three counts of third-degree sexual abuse. He was arrested in April.

The Manchester Police Department says investigators responded to reports of an inappropriate relationship between Cole and the teen. Police say the two had sexual contact at least three times.

Cole was convicted of third-degree sexual assault in November 2008 for sexual interaction with a teen girl. His trial on the latest charge is scheduled for July 8.
