MARATHON, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a Florida Keys man is dead after a tractor he was working on apparently fell on him.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reports that 47-year-old Pedro Jose Sanchez was last seen alive Tuesday morning working on a large CAT tractor behind Third Generation Plumbing in Marathon. Co-workers later found Sanchez dead with his head crushed.
Detectives say it appears the tractor may have somehow rolled over him, causing the fatal injury.
The investigation continues.
