POST, Ore. (AP) - Sheriff’s officers in central Oregon say a 51-year-old man was fatally shot in a domestic dispute at a home in the small rural community of Post, about 25 miles southeast of Prineville.
The man who died has been identified as William Brown.
Crook County Undersheriff John Gautney says Brown was shot by a relative and there is no threat to the public. The sheriff’s office says the case is still under investigation.
KTVZ-TV reports that neighbors say a father and adult son lived at the home on Southeast Terrible Trail.
Gautney says deputies responded to a report of a shooting late Monday night. They found Brown dead.
The sheriff’s office says another man was suffering from an unspecified medical issue and was taken to a Prineville hospital.
