OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police are searching for a man after two people were shot outside of an area church.
Police spokesman Sgt. Gary Knight says the shooting happened Tuesday evening at the Northwest Baptist Church after a fight broke out following a basketball game.
Knight says the unidentified shooting suspect and an unidentified juvenile entered the church gym while another group was playing basketball. He says the pair pilfered from the others’ gym bags, which started the fight.
The two victims were shot after church staff kicked everyone out. A 14-year-old boy and 19-year-old Kenneth Stroman were taken to an area hospital with gunshot wounds and released.
The juvenile suspect was arrested and is being held on an assault and battery complaint. Officers are working to locate the shooter.
