CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Dr. Ben Carson is visiting Nevada for the first time since announcing his bid for the Republican presidential nomination.

Carson spokeswoman Deana Bass said the candidate was attending a brunch meeting with pastors and community leaders in Las Vegas on Wednesday morning.

He was scheduled to give an evening talk at Opportunity Village, a charity that serves people with disabilities.

Tickets cost $15, and Bass said proceeds were all going to the charity.

Carson’s visit comes on the same day that likely Republican presidential contender Jeb Bush was stopping in Nevada for events in Reno and Las Vegas.
