Shooting near Pueblo that left 2 men dead was murder-suicide

PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a shooting that left two men dead outside a home near Pueblo was a murder-suicide.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://goo.gl/0phnYI ) sheriff’s deputies were called to the home southwest of the city Monday evening and found two men dead along a dirt path.

Investigators determined that 32-year-old Jeramie Klose, of Questa, New Mexico, shot and killed 42-year-old Joseph Jensen, formerly of San Luis. Klose then turned the gun on himself.

The sheriff’s office says no motive has been confirmed, but after numerous interviews with family members it’s believed that Klose’s mental state over the past few weeks had deteriorated. Investigators also noted that there was a medical marijuana grow of more than 400 plants on the property, but it is unknown if that played a role in the shooting.
