WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - Testimony is underway in the trial of a man accused of fatally shooting a Minnesotan at a Waterloo nightclub in August.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1KJZHyM ) a jury was empaneled Tuesday in the case against 36-year-old Rodolfo Gonzalez. Testimony was slated to begin Wednesday.

Gonzalez is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Celio Antonio Posada outside of El Señor Tequila Nightclub. According to police and court records, the two met at the establishment and later left for the parking lot, where witnesses reported hearing gunfire. Posada was found in the lot with a gunshot wound, and Gonzalez was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy a few blocks away.

Authorities say a gun found in Gonzalez’s truck that night matched a bullet recovered from Posada’s body.
