SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (AP) - No serious injuries were reported after a truck crashed on Interstate 91 in Windsor County over the weekend. But a bit of the truck’s cargo left a mess on the road.

The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1H2sKuk ) police were called to the scene of the crash in Springfield around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. They discovered the truck was hauling about 7,000 gallons of milk, most of which had spilled out onto the road when the truck’s hatches broke open during the accident.

Trooper Zachary Gauthier says the driver was trapped inside the truck, but was extricated. He was taken to a hospital as a precaution after complaining of leg pain from being trapped under the truck’s steering wheel.

Police didn’t say what caused of the crash.
