FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - A crash involving as many as 11 vehicles on an Orange County freeway has left one person dead and at least seven injured.

The California Highway Patrol says a big-rig blew a tire and went out of control shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday on southbound State Route 57 in Fullerton.

The rig hit the center divider and rolled over into northbound lanes, causing accidents involving at least 10 other vehicles.

The crash killed a man driving a white Honda and strewed the freeway with wreckage.

Several lanes are closed in both directions and traffic is backed up for several miles.
