OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - A 17-year-old boy has surrendered himself to San Jose police after they say he was recorded entering an Evergreen home and attacking two women.
The San Mateo County Times reports (https://bayareane.ws/1bSiagS) the teen was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall after turning himself in Wednesday.
Police say the Friday morning intrusion was largely caught on home-security cameras.
Footage shows two young males, one wearing blue rubber gloves and a hooded sweatshirt, entering and scouring the house. Armed with knives, they reportedly disconnected the landline telephone before kicking a hole in a door and trying to attack two women who were watching the residents’ baby.
The women locked themselves in a bathroom and called 911.
Police say they are looking at least one other suspect in the incident.
