LAUREL, Md. (AP) - Three people have been arrested in connection to a shooting in Laurel that left a 22-year-old man dead.
WUSA-TV (https://on.wusa9.com/1JHk6UU ) reports Donnell Minick was killed Tuesday. Police say 45-year-old Zelina Smith, 23-year-old Daniel Stephens and 25-year-old Tyrik Smith were arrested in connection to Minick’s death. Tyrik Smith is Zelina Smith’s son and Stephens is her brother.
Police say Zelina Smith drove the men to a house so Smith could visit his child. When they arrived, Tyrik Smith and Minick got into a fight. Witnesses said Stephens pulled out a handgun and shot Minick. The three fled the scene.
Police arrested Zelina Smith Tuesday and Stephens and Tyrik Smith Wednesday.
Stephens and Tyrik Smith face multiple charges including first degree murder. Zelina Smith has been charged with second degree murder.
