BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The Bismarck Public School Foundation says it has received a $2 million gift from a former student and teacher.

KXMB-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1F9ILAy ) that Lois Watts died last year but left behind the donation to benefit students.

Watts graduated from Bismarck High School in 1938 and served as a home economics teacher for Bismarck Public Schools.

Foundation President Dick Weber says the gift is the largest ever received by a public school foundation in the state.
