ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Firefighters in northeast Georgia are responding to a large blaze at an abandoned mill.

Athens-Clarke County Fire Department Assistant Chief Kyle Hendrix tells the Athens Banner-Herald (https://bit.ly/1FboGd0 ) crews closed off several roads near the mill on Macon Highway Thursday evening.

Hendrix says crews are working to contain the blaze and keep it from spreading to other buildings.

It’s unclear if any injuries have been reported.
