INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) - Federal authorities are selling the house of a former northeast Ohio politician imprisoned in a corruption probe.

Northeast Ohio Media Group reports (https://bit.ly/1A1qZRj ) former Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora’s home in the Cleveland suburb of Independence was put on the market Tuesday. It’s going for nearly $460,000.

The 3,300-square-foot house has been under the control of U.S. marshals since April. The 59-year-old former Democratic party leader forfeited it through an agreement with prosecutors.

Dimora is serving 28 years in prison for corruption- and bribery-related charges. The U.S. Supreme Court in October rejected Dimora’s request to review his convictions. His agreement with prosecutors called for his wife to move out of the home six months after the appeals process ended.

She’ll get half the proceeds of the sale.
