NEWBURGH, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a 20-year-old Hudson Valley man who was shot while sitting in a parked vehicle last weekend has died from his injuries.
The Times Herald-Record of Middletown reports (https://bit.ly/1bRL6pb ) that authorities in the city of Newburgh say city resident Christian Vaquero suffered a gunshot wound while sitting in a vehicle late Saturday night. He was taken to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he died Wednesday evening.
No arrests have been reported. Police say their investigation is continuing.
The slaying is the third homicide this year in Newburgh. The killings include the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy who was gunned down early last Saturday morning outside his home in the city.
