JACKSON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park is previewing its newest roller coaster.
The Jersey Devil inspired the theme for El Diablo, which in Spanish means the devil.
The red, looping coaster features riders sitting face-to-face. They are rocketed forward and backward until the coaster gains enough momentum to complete a full revolution seven stories in the air. Riders are suspended upside down until the coaster reverses direction.
Previews for season pass holders take place on Thursday and Friday.
The park in Jackson will celebrate El Diablo’s grand opening on Saturday.
