GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) - A trumpet that police say was valued at $15,000 was among the musical instruments stolen from a Gastonia high school band’s room.

The Gaston Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1EHEzoq) about $25,000 worth of musical instruments and equipment were stolen from the Ashbrook High School early Tuesday.

Police say the suspect broke in through a window to enter the band room.

A Bach Stradivarius trumpet worth $15,000, as well as a Yamaha Xeno trumpet valued at $8,000 were taken in addition to a desktop computer, a projector and another trumpet.

Police say the expensive trumpets belonged to the school’s band director.

Video surveillance captured images of a potential suspect’s vehicle.
