FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - The Fort Lauderdale Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying human remains found this week in a wooded area in the city.

Police say the remains are those of an adult male. They were discovered by a local resident who then called police.

Authorities say foul play is not suspected. Forensic experts are attempting to determine the cause of the man’s death and when he died.

Key clues to the man’s identity include a light blue button-down shirt and a pair of blue-and-white Saucony sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Lauderdale detectives at 954-828-5581.
