FREDERICK, Md. (AP) - Prosecutors in Frederick say a school shooting that wounded two teenage boys in February involved rival groups with names derived from two of the city’s public housing complexes.
The Frederick News-Post reported (https://bit.ly/1AYdpZM ) Wednesday on a bill of particulars filed in the case against 19-year-old Chandler Davenport. He’s charged with first-degree assault and other offenses for allegedly luring the victims outside during a basketball game, where they were shot, allegedly by 21-year-old Brandon Tyler.
The document says Davenport and Tyler went to the game looking for members of “Sagner.” That’s the former name of a public housing complex renamed Lucas Village in 2010.
Prosecutors say the Sagner group was feuding with a group called Carver, a reference to the Carver Apartments.
Defense attorneys declined to comment on the allegations.
