BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - State officials are meeting at the state Captiol in Bismarck to develop a timeline for the planning and construction of a new governor’s residence.

The Capitol Grounds Planning Commission will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Capitol.

North Dakota’s Legislature last month approved a new $5 million home for North Dakota’s first family. Twenty percent of the cost is to be funded by private donations.

The current 10,000-square foot prairie-style home built was built in 1960.
