BURTON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire that killed a woman and injured two others in the Burton area of Beaufort County.
Fire officials tell local media that firefighters were dispatched to the mobile home about 10 p.m. Wednesday and were able to pull the victim from the burning house. But she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Beaufort County Coroner Ed Allen says 30-year-old Heather Villegas of Beaufort died in the fire.
Two other people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
Firefighters say the home was heavily damaged.
