HYDE PARK, Vt. (AP) - A woman convicted of fatally stabbing her boyfriend after a night of heavy drinking has been sentenced to six years in prison.

Twenty-four-year-old Jeanette Maxfield was sentenced on Wednesday in the February 2014 killing of 48-year-old Christopher Cafferky. She had pleaded no contest to second-degree murder earlier this year. The agreement required her to serve six years in prison.

Maxfield said in a court document she blacked out, and when she woke up she found him dead and herself covered in blood. She said she had multiple personalities and there was “somebody else in my head.”
