NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - North Charleston police have charged a 15-year-old youth with murder in the drive-by shooting death last weekend of the mother of three children.

Police tell local media outlets that the juvenile, whose name has not been released, also faces four counts of attempted murder and a count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime.

Police say 36-year-old Kedena Brown was shot last Sunday. They say she was in a car that they believe the assailant mistook for another vehicle that earlier had been involved in a shootout.

Brown died a few hours later at the Medical University of South Carolina.
