Body found along road in St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS (AP) - An investigation is underway after a bullet-ridden body was found on the side of a road in north St. Louis County.

Police were called Thursday afternoon and found the body near Prigge Road and Riverview Drive. St. Louis County police say the incident that led to the death happened in St. Louis city, whose police department is handling the investigation.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/1PKLIKE ) reports that police don’t know who the victim is, or who killed him.

Authorities say the man was fatally shot about five miles from where the body was found.
