CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A 32-year-old Charleston man has pleaded guilty to being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Charles Corey Michael pleaded guilty in federal court in Charleston on Thursday. In March, officers with the Charleston Police Department executed a search warrant at Michael’s apartment on Charleston’s East End and recovered several firearms and heroin.

Michael has a prior felony drug conviction from Ohio, so he is prohibited by federal law from possessing firearms. Michael faces up to 10 years’ imprisonment when he is sentenced in August.
