NEW YORK (AP) - Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration is relocating a number of New York City cultural events due to upcoming repair work at Gracie Mansion.

City officials told The Associated Press on Friday that nearly a dozen events originally scheduled for the official mayoral mansion will have to be moved.

The first is an Asian-Pacific Heritage Month Celebration, which was slated for May 28.

Others include the Puerto Rican Heritage event, the LGBT Pride Reception, a Ramadan dinner and the West Indian and Caribbean Day celebration.

Officials said all of the events will be relocated to other historic locations and cultural institutions around the city.

Construction work at Gracie is slated to begin Monday.

The building will undergo a roof replacement and asbestos removal.
