EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) - Police in metro Atlanta are searching for a man who stole a car with a child inside.
East Point Police Capt. Chris Chandler tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (https://bit.ly/1FduzGE ) an off-duty officer saw the theft and chased the stolen car Friday. Police say the suspect abandoned the car and fled.
Chandler says a woman was pumping gas when the suspect jumped into her car and took off with the child inside. WSB-TV reports the woman and child have been reunited.
A detailed description of the suspect was not immediately available.
