GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A Gulfport man changed his plea to guilty in the middle of his trial in Circuit Court.
The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1Jk2Ozh) 28-year-old Brandon Terrell Robinson pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of unlawful possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
The plea came before the beginning of the second day of testimony. Opening arguments and testimony by two prosecution witnesses had been heard Tuesday.
Judge Roger Clark set sentencing for next Thursday to allow Robinson’s family members to be there.
Robinson could be sentenced to up 10 years in prison as a habitual offender.
