Lexington worker fatally injured moving piece of granite

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Lexington worker has died from an injury he suffered while moving a piece of granite.

The Lexington Herald-Leader (https://bit.ly/1RLyNfs ) says the employee was killed Thursday at a tile and cabinet store, Tyson Stone and Granite.

Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts said an emergency medical crew was called to the business shortly before 10:30 a.m. EDT. She said the employee was injured while moving granite. The person had died by the time the crew arrived.

The worker’s name hasn’t been released.
