PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for raping a woman he forced into a commuter rail tunnel.

The Philadelphia Inquirer (https://bit.ly/1JlxdNC ) reports Malcolm Mininal of the East Germantown neighborhood was sentenced Friday.

Prosecutors say Mininal forced the 54-year-old woman onto the tracks at Suburban Station in 2013, sexually assaulted her and robbed of her cellphone and $87.

In April 2014, a jury convicted him of rape, robbery and kidnapping.

Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Donna Woelpper called Mininal a “danger to society who has shown no remorse.”

Mininal seemed stunned by the sentence. His lawyers say he will appeal.

His adult criminal record includes 15 arrests and six convictions.

Mininal was charged under the name of Rafiq Smith, one of his many aliases.
