ATLANTA (AP) - Police have identified a 31-year-old man as the person who died in a crash on I-75 in Cobb County on Thursday night.

Cobb County Police spokeswoman Officer Alicia Chilton says Ronald Washington of Marietta was traveling south on the highway when his 2004 Lexus RX330 struck the back of 2001 Ford Escape.

Chilton says that Washington wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from his vehicle. She says he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say 54-year-old Laszlo Nyerges of Huntsville, Ala. was driving the other car. He was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges are expected.
