PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Police in Portland say a man has died after he was stabbed at his former girlfriend’s home and crashed his car as he fled.
The Oregonian reports (https://is.gd/T1GKkr ) that Sgt. Greg Stewart said the woman stabbed the man after he broke into her house Thursday morning.
Stewart says the seriously injured man fled in his car but the vehicle crashed into a pole in southeast Portland. Police found the man at the crash scene, bleeding from stab wounds, and transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police determined the stabbing and crash were related.
The spokesman said the man was about 40 years old. Neither he nor the woman was immediately identified.
Stewart said the woman was cooperating with police investigators.
