VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - A grey seal found malnourished and dehydrated is returning to the sea after a period of rehabilitation in Virginia Beach.
The Virginia Aquarium Stranding Response Team will release the seal called Beetle next week. She was found last month in North Carolina and was also suffering from cuts and a bacterial infection.
Beetle will have a satellite tag so it can be tracked on her expected journey north.
The aquarium will provide a link to track the seal’s travels.
