BONNIEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Officials in central Kentucky have reopened Interstate 65 northbound where a tanker truck ran off the interstate in northern Hart County and had to be removed.

Traffic was backed up to the site north of Bonnieville.

The Transportation Cabinet said Friday afternoon that traffic was backing up. About 4 ½ hours later, the cabinet said the interstate had been cleared and all lanes were open.

Traffic was rerouted onto U.S. 31W or via the Natcher Parkway and Western Kentucky Parkway between Bowling Green and Elizabethtown.
