DENVER (AP) - Severe thunderstorms are raising the risk of tornadoes in eastern Colorado.
The National Weather Service posted tornado warnings for several counties there Friday afternoon but it wasn’t immediately clear if any had touched down.
The weather service posted a photo showing a funnel cloud near the small town of Hoyt, about 60 miles northeast of Denver International Airport.
The storms also produced hail in the Denver area.
The Colorado State Patrol reported hail and accidents on Interstate 70 east of Aurora.
