NAPLES, Fla. (AP) - The Florida Highway Patrol says it is monitoring smoky conditions on the section of Interstate 75 known as Alligator Alley.

Troopers warned motorists early Friday to use caution as they cross Alligator Alley, which runs between Florida’s east and west coasts between Naples and Fort Lauderdale.

Trooper say smoky conditions exist between mile markers 60 and 101 in Collier County.

If conditions worsen, troopers say they will close the road.
